VEGA, a Polish manufacturer of nitrocellulose-based components for mortar and artillery ammunition, is exhibiting at the Polish national stand organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) during FIDAE 2026, held on 7–12 April in Santiago, Chile.
FIDAE is the International Air and Space Fair, held every two years, and constitutes an excellent opportunity for the exchange of experience and the establishment of international business contacts. It is one of the most important events in Latin America in the fields of aeronautics, defence and security. The event is organised at the initiative of the Chilean Air Force. This year, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) has organised a national stand, within which representatives of the Polish defence sector present their products and technologies and have the opportunity to establish international business contacts in the region. One of the represented companies is VEGA, which has many years of experience in the production of the most advanced combustible nitrocellulose containers used by armed forces around the world.
“For nearly 30 years, we have been continuously refining our proprietary technology and developing a product with the highest performance parameters on the market. Our nitrocellulose combustible containers are distinguished by high energy output, which enhances the energy of propellant charges. Additional features of our products that are key from a military perspective include low levels of combustion residues in the barrel, exceptionally long storage life—critical for the logistics of any army—and resistance to extreme climatic conditions, whether for soldiers operating in high-humidity environments, cold regions or desert areas that are both dry and subject to very large temperature fluctuations from low to very high,” said Dr Eng. Jacek Dudziński, President and Founder of VEGA. “We have developed a product whose technical parameters make it one of the most advanced in the world. We are currently finalising development work on containers for fully combustible propellant charges for 155 mm calibre,” added Jacek Dudziński.
FIDAE is the first industry event at which VEGA is presenting itself independently. This decision is related to the company’s intensive development and its development strategy focused on expanding international business partnerships. Many years of experience in cooperation with domestic and international manufacturers of mortar and artillery ammunition, as well as its own research and development facilities, have made VEGA ready for expansion into further markets.
