VEGA, a Polish manufacturer of advanced nitrocellulose products for the defence sector, is participating in the Black Sea Defense & Aerospace 2026 (BSDA 2026) Exhibition, held on 13–15 May 2026 in Bucharest. The company is presenting its solutions at the national stand organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
The Black Sea Defense & Aerospace Exhibition is one of the most important defence and security industry events in Central and Eastern Europe. The exhibition brings together representatives of armed forces, defence manufacturers, system integrators and industrial partners from around the world, providing a platform for presenting modern technologies and building international cooperation.
VEGA specialises in the production of high-quality nitrocellulose combustible cartridge cases for propelling charges used in mortar and artillery ammunition. The technology developed by the company provides high energy performance while reducing combustion residues, directly affecting the operational use and effectiveness of weapon systems.
VEGA’s products are also distinguished by exceptionally high resistance to external factors, including humidity and extreme temperatures. The cases retain their properties during long-term storage at temperatures ranging from -50°C to +70°C, which is of key importance for military logistics, storage and operational use in various climatic conditions—from desert environments to areas characterised by high humidity and low temperatures.
A key element of the company’s operations is its in-house research and development capability and technology development based on the experience of scientists and engineers associated with the Military University of Technology (WAT) in Warsaw. The company was founded by Lt. Col. Dr Eng. Jacek Dudziński - a scientist and expert associated with WAT, who has been involved in the development of advanced energetic materials for many years. VEGA cooperates with both the Polish defence industry and international defence sector partners, delivering solutions that meet the requirements of the modern battlefield and contemporary military logistics.
“For nearly 30 years, we have been continuously refining our proprietary technology and developing a product with the highest performance parameters on the market. Our nitrocellulose combustible cartridge cases are distinguished by high energy output, which enhances the energy of propellant charges compared with other solutions used in mortar and artillery ammunition. Additional features of our products that are key from a military perspective include very low levels of combustion residues in the bore, exceptionally long storage life, resistance to extreme climatic conditions and high mechanical durability. We have developed a product that is a highly competitive solution within its segment,” said Lt. Col. Dr Eng. Jacek Dudziński, President and Founder of VEGA.
Participation in BSDA 2026 marks another step in the implementation of the company’s international growth strategy and the strengthening of cooperation with partners from Europe and other regions of the world. The company continues to expand its product portfolio and invests in new technologies addressing the needs of modern armed forces. During the exhibition, VEGA is presenting solutions for 60 mm, 81 mm, 82 mm, 98 mm and 120 mm mortar calibres, as well as 155 mm artillery systems.
